The SAYP initiative, led by the Swedish Institute, offers young leaders the chance to build capacity and drive systemic change within their fields and communities. The program features specialized thematic modules hosted by Swedish universities and organizations, each tailored to address critical societal challenges through a global lens.

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to early- to mid-career professionals from the following Eastern Partnership countries:
 Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine

Applicants must:

  • Be between 25–40 years old (born between 1985 and 2000)
  • Hold a relevant higher education degree (minimum three years of university-level study)
  • Have strong written and spoken English skills
  • Currently work in one of the following areas:
    1. Public sector (policymakers, civil servants)
    2. Civil society (NGOs, social impact organizations)
    3. Private sector leadership
    4. Note: For Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, only civil society applicants are eligible
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to social change and the capacity to implement learning in their work environment
  • Align their profile and interest with the focus area of the selected module

Applications must be submitted through the official website of the host university or training institution offering the module you choose. If applying for multiple modules, submit separate applications and clearly state your preference order in your motivation letters.
